Honors College

The Honors College is pleased to announce that Jeff Shen (BS Management Information Systems, ‘96), a University Scholar alumnus and the President of Red Team Consulting [tagged on platforms where it is appropriate to do so], will speak at our graduation reception tomorrow, Wednesday May 7th. Since January 2023, Jeff has served on the Honors College Advisory Board. In this capacity, Jeff recently organized the first-ever Honors College Government Contracting Roundtable and hosted an Honors College Professional Development Fellows workshop.

Keil Eggers, who is graduating from Mason with his PhD in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, has been a champion of complexity-informed conflict transformation, futures, and SenseMaker: a technology that applies a quantitative framework to narrative data submitted and interpreted by the subjects themselves. 

George Mason University senior Elizabeth Wiehe says that ballet is her first love. The School of Dance student, who is graduating this spring, grew up being classically trained in the dance genre.

When criminology, law and society major Ari Williams came to Mason as a first-generation student and a member of the Honors College, she wanted to work in the federal government.

Ali Tyler picked Mason because of its well-regarded Forensic Science Program and proximity to Washington, D.C., a choice that put her on her preferred career path and also allowed her to flourish as one of the Atlantic 10’s best all-around swimmers.

On February 17, Honors College students were given the opportunity to discover for themselves this bastion of American culture. During the visit, the students were able to see some of the Library of Congress’ most significant exhibitions and collection pieces – including a replica of Thomas Jefferson’s personal library
