Academics Flexible to You
You'll have the flexibility to pursue multiple degrees, minors, advanced research, and internships, and still graduate in four years, thanks to the Honors College's condensed format of General Education Requirements.
From Inquiry to Impact
Learning in the Honors College occurs in small, discussion-based classes that are academically challenging. Our students are encouraged to ask questions and apply what they learn to the real world. The Honors College curriculum is designed to foster student success at Mason and beyond.
Exclusive Honors Courses
- HNRS Sections are the core Honors College courses required to fulfill the curriculum requirements. Honors students take these courses instead of Mason Core courses.
- H-Sections. In addition to the core Honors College courses, students can take honors sections of courses within their major or a related field of study. These "H-Sections" ensure that Honors College students interact with their faculty and peers in a close-knit community setting that provides more in-depth and rigorous treatment of material.
