University Scholars Cohort Building

Each September, the whole University Scholars four-year cohort engages with the natural world, spending a weekend at an old-fashioned summer camp. Canoeing, volleyball, and bonfires help us bid farewell to the summer months and re-center our goals and intentions for the coming academic year. First-year Scholars will get to know their new community, and returning Scholars will begin sharing what it means to be a Scholar.

All University Scholars come together monthly for Town Hall meetings. Town Halls provide a regular opportunity for Scholars to gather and share their success and struggles, updates and opportunities. Town Halls include guest speakers from within and without the university, programmatic announcements, time for informal peer mentorship between upper-level and lower-level Scholars, and informal social time.  

University Scholars have access to the Scholar Lounge in the East Building. This is a space where Scholars can collaborate, socialize, study, and relax.
