Even though your student days may have ended, you can stay an active part of the Honors College community. The Alumni Engaged Network invites you to join us in outreach and new student recruitment, building our community, supporting Honors College students on their professional pathways, and mentoring them, as well as giving back through philanthropy.
To join the network, join us for a welcome event and commit to doing at least two of the things below.
Outreach and New Student Recruitment
Introduce outstanding potential students to George Mason & the Honors College.
- Participate in an Honors College admissions event
- Reach out to admitted students
Building Community
Join in events & activities on campus and off as we cultivate community.
- Come to our Winter & Spring Exhibition
- Do Yoga on the Lawn, led by alum!
- Take in a game with us at Eagle Bank!
Professional Pathways
Support & mentor students as they develop professionally.
- Share your experience in an HNRS class
- Participate in a pro dev workshop
- Provide guidance & feedback for resumes, interview prep, etc.
Civic and Social Impact
Support students as they engage civic issues & serve communities.
- Introduce students to initiatives that matter to you
- Provide insight, feedback to Honors College Connects teams
Engaged Alumni Network participants who complete two points of engagement within a calendar year will receive an item of premium Honors College-branded merchandise in recognition of their contributions.
The graduating class with the highest level of Alumni Network engagement will be recognized at our Spring Exhibition and on a plaque in the Honors College Student Study Lounge.
