Invest in the leaders of tomorrow. Give today and support our commitment to developing the next generation of creative thinkers and problem-solvers.
Honors College graduates enter every industry and come from every background. Our multi-disciplinary curriculum prepares students to collaborate and lead in the workforce and the civic life of our region, nation, and world.
We play a major role in attracting high-performing students from other states and help George Mason retain talented local students who might otherwise leave the region. We have graduated 3750 young professionals in the last decade and have over 2150 current students. In partnership with the Early Identification Program, we put special emphasis on attracting and supporting highly motivated students from Northern Virginia who are the first in their families to attend college.
Help us Create Pathways to Success
At the Honors College, we
- Teach students to address the multi-dimensional challenges that we face in all industries, across all regions and nations, and as a global community.
- Emphasize working effectively with others who have very different perspectives and expertise.
- Develop a pipeline of exceptional future professionals prepared to work in today’s inclusive workplaces, to solve the most complex problems, and to answer the most difficult questions.
Invest in Remarkable Outcomes
Our students are All Together Different. Honors College students publish research findings with faculty mentors; present their research and collaborative projects to their professional and civic communities; serve as consultants to nonprofits, government institutions, and corporations; and obtain the highest impact internships in every field found in the Greater Washington region.
Using the rigorous preparation we provide, our graduates work for the nation’s top employers, attend the most respected graduate schools, and receive the most prestigious fellowships. They work in every industry: from government contracting to healthcare, from Capitol Hill to the headquarters of top technology firms, and from national NGOs to academia.
Our students pursue the most rigorous academic pathways available, yet compared to national averages for public four-year institutions, the Honors College’s graduation rates are 24% higher overall, 25% higher for Latinx and Hispanic students, 60% higher for Black and African American students, and 62% higher for low income, Pell-eligible students.
Support a Multidisciplinary Student Body
Honors College students pursue all majors and concentrations. They reflect the full range of professional interests, pursuing every academic pathway imaginable. In our classrooms, programs, and community, they learn to collaborate, communicate, and problem-solve together.
