Honors College

Theresa Boyd, BA History '24, is a Spring 2024 Honors College graduate and student athlete. Boyd was deeply impacted by the community service they did as an Honors College student, including in the Honors College class "Addressing the Digital Divide: Digital Literacy and Community."

Zoe Hannah Vozick, BA Environmental and Sustainability Studies '24, is a Spring 2024 Honors College graduate and student athlete. Vozick's most impactful course at Mason was HNRS 360 Grand Challenges, in which faculty experts across the university considered the most significant challenges we face today.

Katelyn Moore, BA Environmental and Sustainability Studies '24, is a Spring 2024 Honors College graduate. Moore has been active in student organizations related to environmental issues and worked as part of the Patriot Public Interest Research Group.

Amanda Magpiong, BA Anthropology '24, is a Spring 2024 Honors College graduate. Magpiong conducted undergraduate research, presented at conference, studied abroad, and had several high-profile internships.

Neha Kannan, BS Psychology '24, is a Spring 2024 Honors College graduate. Most memorable moment: helping encourage prospective students to attend George Mason's Honors College as part of the Honors College Recruitment Team.

Grace Catello, BS Psychology '24, is a Spring 2024 Honors College graduate. Most memorable moment: presenting a research proposal at the 2023 Honors College Winter Research Exhibition.

Senior of the Year Celine Apenteng has made an impact during her time at George Mason, and she isn’t done. After graduating this spring, the Silver Spring, Maryland, native will continue to pursue her master’s through the university’s accelerated master’s program.

The Honors College at George Mason University and Peraton awarded 11 students the selective Peraton Scholarship in National Security at the conclusion of the Spring Semester.

As a first-generation Guyanese American student, Zayd Hamid has found his calling in empowering his generation of student leaders with the education and experience they need to solve the world’s grand challenges.

The Honors College is pleased to announce that Jeff Shen (BS Management Information Systems, ‘96), a University Scholar alumnus and the President of Red Team Consulting [tagged on platforms where it is appropriate to do so], will speak at our graduation reception tomorrow, Wednesday May 7th. Since January 2023, Jeff has served on the Honors College Advisory Board. In this capacity, Jeff recently organized the first-ever Honors College Government Contracting Roundtable and hosted an Honors College Professional Development Fellows workshop.
