November 10, 2023Honors College Connects hosted its third Nonprofit Hackathon on October 21, fostering teamwork and creativity among students to solve community challenges. The event, in partnership with local nonprofits, promoted a human-centered design approach, with students working in groups to develop solutions. The day also included mentor participation, brainstorming, and networking opportunities, emphasizing collaboration and community engagement.
September 14, 2023Striving towards a more collaborative environment, members of several Honors College student organizations came together for the Student Leader Retreat on Saturday, September 9, 2023. The first of the school year, this semi-annual event brings together students of diverse backgrounds, majors and levels of involvement within the Honors College.
October 7, 2022On October 1, Honors College Connects (HCC) held its second annual Hackathon. The Hackathon is an opportunity for students to come up with creative solutions to issues that various local nonprofit organizations face. Participants spent the day going through the brainstorming and development process, giving peer reviews, and presenting their final ideas to each nonprofit.
