Biography
Dr. Fedri is an Assistant Professor in the Honors College and serves as its Experiential Learning Coordinator. She focuses on the nonprofit-serving Honors College Connects program (HNRS 261 & HNRS 361), along with the corporation- and industry partner-focused class, Industry Challenges (HNRS 361). She earned a PhD in Higher Education from Penn State University, where she studied how curriculum change happens to engage students in more meaningful, real-world problem-solving. She has a specialization in social entrepreneurship and innovation, and also teaches Social Innovation (HNRS 360). Prior to joining Mason in 2019, Dr. Fedri worked at the Nashman Center for Civic Engagement & Public Service at George Washington University. There, she taught social entrepreneurship and helped students develop and launch their own ventures to make a difference in communities they care about. She's lived, worked, and/or researched in India, Israel, Kenya, and Panama for a combined 4 years.
